All-female “Girl Pwr” Valorant tournament announced

Valorant is getting its second women’s championship, this time in the Brazil region. The Girl Pwr Valorant tournament will be hosted by the Brazilian esports content agency Gaming Culture. It will feature a prize pool of 10,000 Brazilian Reais, or the equivalent of around $1,778.98 USD.

The tournament will have its open qualifier on October 24th and 25th at 6 p.m. BRT, with a single elimination bracket format. The eight best teams from the qualifiers will advance to the main event.

This main event will take place from October 31st – November 2nd also at 6 p.m. BRT and will be streamed on Twitch and Nimo. Babi Micheletto and Leticia Motta will be the casters on the livestream.

Girl Pwr will be sponsored by Banco de Brasil, N.A.V.E gaming computers and Outback Steakhouse. The prize pool will be split between R$5,000 to 1st place ($889.43 USD), R$2,500 to 2nd place ($444.71 USD) and R$1,250 to 3rd and 4th place ($222.36 USD). Banco de Brasil and Outback Steakhouse were also sponsors of the CS:GO Girl Pwr Invitational of last July.
